What is the purpose of the pledge for the Family Center Construction Fund?
Since our founding in 2000, Beitang has been blessed by God for 24 years, growing steadily in His grace. Over time, we have evolved from a single church focused on young families to a vibrant, multi-generational congregation. However, our current facilities are no longer adequate to meet the needs of all age groups, particularly our youth. To better serve our church family and to bring the Gospel to the next generation, our vision is to build a multi-purpose facility that can accommodate activities for all ages. The estimated cost for this project is $5 million. This pledge offers us the opportunity to realize this vision, thereby building, supporting, and nurturing the future of our entire church.
What is the goal for this year's Family Center building fund offering?
Thank God, the church's development fund has $2 million in reserves to start this project. The remaining costs will be covered by pledges from brothers and sisters and bank loans. Our goal is to minimize the loan amount, hoping to raise $1.5 million through pledges in 2024 and 2025, keeping the loan below $1.5 million.
Can I make a donation in 2024 and 2025 and also donate money weekly or monthly to the building fund?
You are welcome to do so.
Is this building fund pledge legally binding?
No, but the church hopes your donation is accurate because the church uses this building fund pledge to estimate and apply for bank loans for construction.
Can the money I donate to the building fund be tax-deductible?
Your donation to the building fund is tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor.
Can my friends or relatives who don't attend our church donate to the building fund?
All who agree with the vision of Beitang Church are welcome to participate in the donation, but the final acceptance must be decided by the Beitang Church Elders Council.
Should I ask my employer if they match donations?
We encourage you to take advantage of your employer's matching gift program. If your employer requires documentation or proof of your donation, Northminster will be happy to provide the necessary materials.
